Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic or dental bonding is a procedure where the tooth colored filling material is shaped then bonded or glued to a tooth to repair a chip, cover a discolored area, or alter the shape and size of a tooth. Dr. Gentling will first select a shade of composite that closely resembles the color of your teeth. After placing the composite on the tooth, Dr. Gentling will smooth it into the desired shape, harden it with a high intensity light, and polish it to match surrounding teeth. If multiple teeth are being bonded several office visits may be necessary. Once the procedure is complete the bonding will look 100% natural and will precisely match your other teeth.
