Minimally Invasive Dentistry

I practice minimally invasive dentistry, which means that I try to conserve as much of your healthy original tooth as possible, by not just grinding away tooth to simply go faster and get the job done. You only get one set of adult teeth so let’s go easy on them and do less grinding. I do about 20% of my fillings without the need to numb. I do this by catching the decay early and using very small burs to remove only the decay and being careful to conserve as much of the natural tooth structure as possible. This is done with no shots, no pain, and keeping your original tooth as strong as possible. This takes more time and more effort but is better for you and your tooth.

Fillings

Here’s the deal, all of my dentistry is done using the Bioclear method. Meaning, the tooth preparations are conservative while maximizing the filling to enamel interface for maximum bond strength. The biofilm is blasted off the tooth, so it won’t interfere with the chemistry of bonding to the tooth. The filling is injection molded into and around the tooth using heated composite that forms a solid monolithic restoration which makes the filling even stronger. The final restoration is finished with a polish that leaves an infinity edge that’s virtually undetectable and extremely smooth. So, what I’m saying is that I go through a lot of extra effort using cutting edge techniques and materials to provide the best modern dentistry available today. This stuff is built to last and really is a superior way to do dentistry.
